We stayed about 3 weeks at River Bend in South Fork a few years ago. Good fishing in the river--Enjoyed driving the forest service roads--good roads that don't require 4 wheel drive--at least where we went. Nice small town feel. Visit Wolf Creek Pass to see the high altitude stuff, drive to Creede--get local maps of road, visit Rio Grande Reservoir--start of the Rio Grande River. Enjoy yourself. You can also go all the way to Lake City for a nice day trip.
