Southern AZ in winter - things to see and do?

My DW and I have plans to travel through southern part of AZ in Feb. And are looking for things to see and do. What highlights should we be sure not to miss? Will be visiting family and friends in Tucson and Phoenix but will be on our own mostly to tour.

Heading through AZ from East To West.

Appreciate any and all suggestion.

If you like remote places here are some that I enjoyed:

Historic Empire Ranch

Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge

Less remote but still out there:

Madera Canyon

Saguaro National Park

When in Tucson the Pima Air and Space Museum is a must see was well as Old Tucson Studios. google both for details. For something different drive about 30 miles north and check out the Biosphere II. :C

Haven't done it for myself but there is beautiful Sedona, Grand Canyon, Tombstone and the crater….all in the state and not necessarily in a days drive. Beautiful state.
