Dockweiler is adjacent to a sewage treatment plant and in the take off zone of Los Angeles airport. You do get used to the noise and the occasional smell.
Further up the coast are several state parks without hookups.
In the Pismo Beach area there are several RV Parks near the beach with access to the beach.
Unfortunately, there aren't many beach spots with hook ups to the north. There are some south of the Disneyland area.
