It is worth checking out some of the area state parks. Dead Horse Point is one of my favorites - Electric only, Goblin Valley State park (and nearby Little Horse Canyon) is another interesting place to visit (dry camping, but bathrooms with showers) or Kodachrome Basin State Park (some full hookup sites).
