Lake Benton in, you guessed it, Lake Benton, MN - tjfogelbergExplorerThe Southeast corner of the state is more interesting...I'd suggest a trip over that way if time permits. Root River Bike Trail is excellent as are the neighboring towns including Lanesboro. Along the river, Wabasha and the National Eagle Center are a nice site. The Mississippi and bluffs are spectacular, many neat river towns. Lots of camping options. Whitewater State Park is a favorite.
- Addy15ExplorerWe love Lake Shetek State Park in SW Minnesota. Our favorite place for fall camping. Full hook-up campground (Sunrise Campground) Very nice hiking trails. Not very far from the sites other responses have recommended.
- SkiingSixPackExplorerBlue Mounds State Park is nice.
