Spokane Creek near Keystone SD

I cannot say enough good things about the Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground near Keystone SD. We have been out to the Black Hills many times and this has been by far the best. The property is about 8 miles out of town between Keystone and Hermosa on Iron Mountain Road. It is peaceful and serene and they have everything you want without the stuff you don't. They have a nice store with necessities and a nice cafe with good food. They have free wifi and next to zero cell reception. A wonderful combination for our getaway. We were not bothered with phone calls but we could still share some family photos in the evening. The rates are fantastic. 10 days with full hookups ran us about $300. They have a nice shower house with laundry. A nice little creek running through the property. They have propane, gas and diesel on site and the prices are no higher than in town. The people were great and one of the couples that is working there for the summer are staying on the property and our children had a blast playing with their kids. My wife is already trying to work out a return trip for Labor Day weekend. They are minutes from Keystone and Mount Rushmore and a short 15-20 minute drive has you into Rapid City and the larger attractions like Reptile Gardens and such. Or if you are not into the tourist stuff just stay in the property and completely relax.
