Thanks for the suggestions. Thought I'd update since we have a good internet connection.
The first night we drove to the Live Oak Walmart to knock out a couple hundred miles. Must have rained earlier that day because it was cool enough for no air and we skipped the A/C. There was one other RV and about 4 trucks in the parking lot. Upon leaving the next morning, we saw the no RV signs, opps.
The next night we burned up almost 600 miles and made it to a small campground that looked good on RV clicky about 40 miles west of Jackson, MS. I forget the name, it was only 3 miles off the exit, but out in the boonies. Billed as a small fishing resort on 15 acres of lake and an old civil war battle site. Mostly permanent residents, actually we appeared to be the only temps.
