We went for spring break last year and our daughters, then at age 5 and 8, absolutely LOVED it. They have lots of bike trails, a huge open field (where our little one learned to ride without training wheels), a seasonal water park (not open during March), It is 10 minutes from downtown Charleston and about 10 minutes (depending upon traffic) from the ocean at Folly Beach. Inside the park, there are lots of opportunities to fish (even for children).
That is definitely further than we would like to go for this trip but I will add it to my list here for sure to check out for our longer trips! It looks like a very nice place. Thank you for the suggestion.
