COE park in Fulton MS just east of Tupelo. 2 State parks in the area. IMHO Trace SP is nicer than Tombigbee SP. There is also the Campgrounds at Barnes Crossing . Its nice, but sites are close together.

we stayed at Tombigbee SP which is only a couple of mile south east of town. Typical older state park that will not easily accommodate large (over 35') units. Clean restrooms/showers.

The road in is a little crooked.

Mimosa, you said Tupelo to start with.Too answer your question, yes there is a great state park just west of Tupelo, Trace State Park.The park is located on hwy 6/278.You can go south on 45 to Mobile and take I-10 or 78 to Birmingham, I-65 to Montgomery, 231 south and come out at Fort Walton or Destin just depends on state route you take

Army Corp Park on the Tombigbee Water Way about 20 miles away.

Davis Lake Campground, forest service campground, 17 miles south of Tupelo on Natchez Trace Parkway mile marker 243.
