St Augustine FL advice

Thanks again for your help. We are on our first trip to FL and would like to stay near St Augustine but have trouble with driving the truck in a city/unknown area. Looking for CG/RV park near St Augustine that has trolley or shuttle service or if not, then kind of near the old St Augustine sights.

Any advice appreciated.
  • Stayed at Stage Coach several years ago and it was a great place. Owner was one of the nicest guys and a big help. We are planning on staying there on our trip to Fl. the end of Dec. Just hoping the weather holds good so we can leave on the 26th.

We stayed at Anastasia State Park in February. Nice park in the coastal hammock itself, which makes for a unique experience, and I would definitely go there again. However, they say RVs up to 40 feet are OK, but it must depend on the site. We stayed in Site #65 in our little pip-squeak 31' Class A and I wouldn't want to get much bigger than that.
  • We like Faver Dykes State Park if your rig is not over about 35ft. It is a little further away but worth it to us. Then drive truck in and easy park it at the trolley company parking lot and the let the trolley drivers do all the driving in town.

  • Very easy area to drive in. Check out Stage Coach RV.
  • bryn mawr ocean resort is a nice place to stay. about 6 or 7 miles from st. augustine. the cg is on the ocean
  • Stayed at Bryn Mawr Ocean Resort last August and was parked next to the beach, nice clean felt safe CG. Fairly close to St Augustine.
