State Park w/ Boat Rental - Within 8 hours of DFW

Looking for suggestions...

My familty would like to take our 5th wheel to a state park within 8 hours or so of the DFW area. We would like to have a waterfront (or close to) site and the ability to rent a pontoon boat to allow tubing, fishing, etc. We have done this at Lake Catherine in Arkansas and Broken Bow in Oklahoma. I'm not opposed to going to the same place again, but would like other suggestions as well. Anything costal?

Trailer is 35' plus the truck.

    Lake Texoma has some nice COE parks with sites on the lake and there are marinas that rent boats.

    I would not suggest the Lake Texoma SP as it is in sad shape at this time, plus you would still have to rent a boat from the marina.

    One of our favorite COE parks on Texoma is Lakeside west of Durant, OK. But the sites on the lake are really popular and book fast. They do not have sewer hookups only W/E but have dump stations.

    (I don't believe I just told the RV world about one of our favorite spots but I had to share!)

    I think Lake Catherine is gonna be really hard to beat, especially getting a lake front site

    I suggest Sam Rayburn, one of the best bass fishing in the country! Beautiful and peaceful.
