That's exactly the park that led to my making the original post!
We were there not long ago at the recommendation of someone else and decided we liked the state park experience and decided to try to stay at them more often. Without a direct recomendation though we didn't know how to reliably find State Park Campgrounds we could get into.
Thanks to everyone that posted suggestions. I guess I need to really do my homework ahead of time in my trip planning. And arriving early enough that it's not much of an issue if we encounter access problems.
