States must see poll
I enjoyed the responses to DougE's poll for recommended places to visit in Oregon. Has this been done before? I did a quick search "best places to see" and found just a few but not of individual state...

Well, actually, I thought it would be interesting to see what POI and attractions others would attribute to each state, a sticky maybe? It might help people with what to explore in each state.
I, too, have folders on my desktop of each state we want to visit with subfolders of counties, state parks, historical sites, national parks/monuments, NRA, NWA, etc plus subfolders within those for documents, maps and images. It is around 2-3 gb in size. I have done this for about 3 years. I just wondered what interested other folks that maybe we have missed. Our interests are photography, rockhounding, history, geology and culture. Maybe others have some locations or interests we hadn't considered. Just a thought for planning and pondering during the months we less actively camp.
An example: A poster mentioning Gold Butte, in the Arizona Strip, for boon docking piqued my interest so I googled it and found some amazing scenery to photograph. Especially those who are residents or have more thoroughly explored the state could offer more obscure places to check out.
