Still Laughing!

I'm in the north central part of Florida. And yes it's somewhat cold today all things considered that I am from Wisconsin.

The cold today is combined with rain and wind so it feels colder and the constant weather reports that it might still snow north of here 'apparently' has all the locals in lock down in their houses because of the weather!

I went out shopping this morning and all the stores make it look like a ghost town. Only one or two cars in the parking lot at each store!

When they see my plates I am bombarded each and every time I get out of the car with "bet you don't think this is cold do you?" As they are all bundled up and shivering and I don't even have a coat on!

Gotta love it! I know I do........because I am IN Florida and NOT Wisconsin thoroughly enjoying 40 degrees and little rain! :B

I'd welcome that global warming our gov't says we're having.

No you wouldn't if you understood it. The price we pay will be high as it changes. But not to worry you won't live that long. Your kids will see some and their kids more......... AH look to Atlanta ..Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
  • I might as well complain, it's only 69 today here by Key West---brrrrr.

    Looking for 79 tomorrow---awwww.

HAHAHA LOL .... Climates change. period. Always have-Always will.

To understand it probably takes alot more tax money being given in grants to the very ones that are yelling "The sky is falling" the loudest.

    That's a good gig, there.

I've already lived through eight "disasters", one of which was "Global Cooling" of the 1970s. Not worried about this one either. Do you really thing the UN is looking out for the USA or that NONE of the 100+ computer models predicted the last 17 years of no temperature rise is what we should use for what's going to happen over the next 100 years? CO2 has continued to go up BUT the temps have not. Doesn't that make you wonder?
  • Wait 6 months and we will be talking about the 110 degree heat and overheated vehicles. I like it cooler, just not 10 degrees like yesterday morning. High last Sunday was 76, tomorrow supposed to be 74. The temps go up and down like I'm in the mountains of Colorado, not the flat land in texas.

I agree. in the 1890's it was predicted that the streets of New York City would be covered with horse droppings up to the third story windows. That certainly never happened.

On the same subject, I am getting very cynical about warnings, as one food product today is harmful and should not be in your diet. Two weeks later the "findings" are reversed and the same product is suddenly O.K.

Who do you believe and when?

    Ditto X2!

Below freezing yesterday, 80 here tomorrow!

Hmmmm, 4 'months' of freezing or 48 'hours' of freezing?
I'll take the 48 hours freezing HERE any day.

Tucson is calling for a high of 80 tomorrow which won't be a record. For 16 of the last 17 days it has been in the 70's. Blue sky's and a light breeze are getting to be the norm this winter.

Typically we are 10 to 12 degrees cooler than what we have been seeing. This year is the driest (no rain for 37 days), and warmest, winter in at least 10 years. Had to put the sun screen back in my golf bag yesterday. :B

    Ditto...where's the like button? :D

Except the golf part...not my game, but I did get a sunburn deer hunting. I didn't remember to put the sunscreen in my pack.
