Storm Isolates Boondockers on Lake Ouachita Arkansas

Betty and I recently had a boondocking experience that was quite unusual. Here is a link to the news report on our Big storm event.
Campers cut off in storm
How would others have handled this situation ? Your input appreciated.

  • Something similar happened on our first ever RV trip in 2011.
It was in springtime and there were many, many tornadoes across the south.
Same timeframe as the Joplin tornado.
Lake Ouachita state park was one of our stops.
The first fire truck got stranded and had to have a rescue team come after them.

The way we handled it was we left before the storm hit.
