Has anybody been to the Sunset Beach resort in Va? http://www.sunsetbeachva.com/Good? Bad? How is their beach? is the entire place full hookup? Wife and I are looking for a place with its own beach where we can relax, we were supposed to be at cape hatteras in a week, but that isn't looking good with the power outage.

I have seen largely positive reports on it, have not stayed there. Be advised its on the bay and not the ocean, and often that means more jellyfish.

jellyfish, im sure even so its better than the beaches up north. My wife rarely goes in the water, likes to lounge on the beach more than anything.Do you know how new this place is?

What I heard was that the park was decent, being on the bay your facing west looking at the water, hence the name. Have been told decent food and wonderful views from restaurant/bar on the water.

They completely did the campground in the past year or so. I have never stayed there but drove past a few times.

thanks for the info. Were in a holding pattern right now as we still have a reservation for the KOA in Cape Hatteras...just trying seek other options in case the power doesn't return before Aug 13.
