Syracuse Campgrounds

Hello! Can anyone recommend a campground within 15 to 20 miles of Syracuse University New York. I am looking for a full hook up site. I travel in a 40 foot 5th wheel. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have to drop my son at the medical school mid august, would love to take the trailer and make a nice trip out of it!

    There is nothing close with full hookups. Verona State Park has no hookups. Some of the campgrounds around Sylvan Beach might work, but it might be an interesting drive to get to them.

    If you extend your range, you will probably be happy staying at Turning Stone in Verona. We stayed there last year to visit family. It wouldn't be too bad a drive to SU, since there is no way you will be taking the 5er up on the hill anyway.

    Try Verona state park on the shores of Oneida Lake. There's also Sylvan Beach; there are a couple of private campgrounds in the area. reasonable drive time to med. schools
