taking the family east coast
First time doing this. We are leaving 2014 for a fall east coast trip from Alabama and goal is Maine for 3 weeks....I first need top rv parks that will be close enough to drive around for the children...

Minuteman KOA in Littleton, MA. You can visit Lexington, Concord, and the surrounding areas from there. Boston is a must both for it's historical value like the Freedom Trail and the fun stuff like Faneuil Hall, the NE Aquarium, duck tours and such. You might want to take public transportation to get in there though. On your way up I'd stop at Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown in VA and Gettysburg, PA. In Maine, stop at Ft. Knox in Prospect.
