Telluride, CO and a large Class A?

Our son will be performing at a Jazz Festival in Telluride in August. It doesn't look like there are any campgrounds we can fit in in the town. Does anyone have recommendations for campgrounds that aren't too far away, take reservations, and can fit a 40+ Motorhome?

If you get right on it and make reservations, you could stay in Ridgeway State Park which is near the intersection of the highway you'd need to take over to Telluride. I don't see how Silverton would work at all, but Ridgeway near Ouray might be what you need.

  • I think our best options might be campgrounds in Ouray or Silverton. Anyone have experience with these towns and a recommendation?

Unfortunately that campground is first come first serve (which will probably be full before we get there given the size of this Jazz Festival), and there is a 30ft limit....
