Texas crud in Canada or is it a form of bronchitis?

Hey all; Did not make it down south last winter and missed the benifits of all that sunshine! Problem is I've caught what I can only lable as "the Texas crud". Has anyone found and used a home ...

DH suffered badly from Texas crud one winter while in the RGV. When at his doctor after coming home, doctor suggested taking plain Claritin (NOT Claritin D) daily and start it about 2 weeks before leaving for Texas. DH did this the following year and no problems. Maybe the Claritin worked, maybe it was just luck, but he did not have any of the bad coughing/hacking spells.
