That's true about so many things. When the Canadian dollar took a dive good friends of ours decided to take their CN dollars and fly to Mexico and rent a place for the winter. Better weather then the RGV, cheaper, and more new experiences to log being expat's. They're loving it while in their early 60's.
OP asked about Harvey though, not the RGV. Like I said prior north of Port Lavaca appears to be just fine. Looks like some flooding occurred here and there though.
Guessing the OP at his home park can still get fresh shrimp off the boats, good Tex/Mex in town, and not even notice anything has changed in his park.
