Texas State Park choices

Anybody have a clue regarding Palo Duro Canyon SP and Caprock Canyons SP? I don't think we will have the time to visit both this fall, and both look pretty nice. I can't decide....

We're heading up to that area from Pedernales Falls, then have to work our way back east.

    Hard to fault either choice.
    If you can get to Palo Duro before August 20th, Texas - the musical is something definitely worth seeing. There's also much more to do within easy driving distance for day trips outside the park.
    We stayed at Caprock Canyon for the first time this summer, and thoroughly enjoyed it, too. Beautiful scenery, the Texas State Bison Herd, a nice fishing lake, etc.
