Coming from South Carolina, you could do Niagara Falls, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Nova Scotia, then travel downwards through New England states back home.

This trip would give you he need for Passports and a bit of foreign country, which could be built upon. Now let's be honest though, other than Quebec, Canada isn't that foreign to us Americans.

The only thing I can think about is fresh lobster rolls, if I did that trip ;)
