I made the mistake of including California in this summer's trip. Between the fires, the dead pine trees, and no Yosemite Falls it was less than spectacular. There was not even a wet spot where the falls should've been as it's that dry and the sign that said Brown is the new green pretty much sums up southern California.

Having traveled in Europe this summer for three weeks I was only concerned for my safety once. The longer you wait to do Europe the less safe I think it will be.
