Another suggestion: Fly to Vancouver and do the seven day one way cruise to Anchorage. You can find this cruise for less than $700/adult and half that for the kids. Rent a Class C for 5-7 days in ANC and do the Kenai Peninsular in the C. Fly home from ANC.
