SWimming in Lake Superior? 35 degree water? I saw some of what I assume were natives wading out to their waists, but none were actually swimming.
You need a nice beach on a sunny day. The water at the beach edge isn't 35 degrees.
Just so you don't think I'm pulling your leg.....
Brimley state park. July 2011. She was only 2 and definitely swimming in Lake Superior.

Porcupine Mountains state park. August 2016. Same kid. She's 7 now. Swimming in Lake Superior again.

August 2016, Porcupine Mountain state park, Lake Superior. This picture was taken from our campsite. I didn't get pictures of them actually in the water because I was swimming with them. It was 80 and humid and such a relief to go for a swim that day! Later in the week the weather turned cold and windy and caused huge crashing waves. Lake Superior is beautiful either way. In my opinion, it's the best of the Great Lakes, better even than Lake Michigan.
