Now we're cooking' !!! Lots of ideas and internet researching on my part!

Two years ago, we jeeped through the Alpine Loop and had lunch in Lake City. While there, we immediately said that it was a place we could spend a week or more! We don't have our own off road toy (other than the truck). I checked rental places, and it seems extremely expensive. Any ideas on that?
