The snowbird crowd is ageing
Seems to me in Texas the snowbird crowd is ageing, most are over 70 and many over 80. Every year more are too sick or old to make the trip and many have passed on. There are very few younger snowbirds...

We plan to hit the road in about 10-15 years, we we be mid 50's at the time. I am working my tail off at the moment (while I still can) to secure the finances to be able to do it. We plan to be 100% debt free, so we can enjoy it and not have much to worry about.
A lot of people my age would love to snowbird, or just hit the road full time. A lot of us can't, I took a huge hit on my last house, and this one is now worth less then we paid for it. (and I got a good deal on it) I wanted to hit the road full time in 2020 but we are going to have to wait a couple of more years, due to financial issues in the housing market.
