Seems to me in Texas the snowbird crowd is ageing, most are over 70 and many over 80.
I believe this to be mostly true. The more park models in the park the more true that statement will be. Public RV parks that you have to move every so often will have the youngest snowbirds both in age and spirit.

Every year more are too sick or old to make the trip and many have passed on. There are very few younger snowbirds replacing them, seems anytime someone new under 65 comes in it is a rarity.
I think this is due to health care costs. I see many more young Canadian snowbirds then US ones. If you're under 65 and have to pay $1,000/month for health insurance, then hope that you never need to use it, that's a bitter pill to swallow if you're retiring early.

Nearly all parks have many vacancies
Still is before Christmas so it makes sense they're open spots left. I do expect after Christmas that the flock will be less then the year before.
My spin on all of this is it takes effort to Snowbird, Part time, or Full Time. The baby boomers are more prone to be part of the short term concierge vacation club (because of the $$$ it takes, it has to be short term), then long term nomads/travelers.
The problem with short term is you only see a place, and never really experience it. Much like checking off a state because you drove non-stop thru it, and took a few pictures out the windshield.
