It's rainy and the temps are in the 60's this AM. That will likely change later on and be back in the 80s or so. This has been the wettest summer I have seen in many years - and I love it! We have a few acres we have to mow any you can almost see the grass growing it is so wet. There have been several years of virtual drought here and now the area lakes are full and the rivers are flowing well. Ya'll come on down, we love it when our northern friends show up. Please don't try to mimic a Southern accent, we can really tell it and you might get laughed at. Try our foods and don't let some of these yahoos tell you we eat possum and chitlins (chitterlings) - we don't. We do eat grits and country ham, tomato sandwiches with Dukes mayonnaise. If you hear "howsyamamaannem?" it is simply one of us inquiring as to the health of the mother and others in her family - How is your mother and them. We love the SEC in general and UGa Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide specifically. Atlanta is a big place with horrible traffic, but it can be overcome with a little patience and no horn blowing. We love our Nation and State, our soldiers and law enforcement, our family heritage (most of use can trace our roots back several generations) sweet tea and mama. If you want to start telling us how great it is up north, most of us can direct you to the Delta terminal in Atlanta - they are ready when you are. If you want to stay, then think about why you came when you start making efforts at zoning and changing rules. It is not uncommon to see a 'trailer home' across the street from a million dollar home with a gated driveway. WSB radio means 'welcome South brother. We revere Robert E Lee, Vince Dooley, Lewis Grizzard and Dixie. Why do we love it so? Cause it's home! - and you are welcome here.
