Bolt cutters make almost no noise.

It wouldn't seem like I would sleep through it either but these are pretty fast.
Fast and cheap

There are pretty much no safe locks anymore. I believe the best we can do is build in layers of protection so they go pick easier fruit elsewhere.

It's also pretty cheap and easy to use some very basic siren type motion detectors. $15.00 or so.

What's the web site?

Too many folks of all kinds for me to feel safe camping in a place like this...

I bet the GANGS have different gangs of their own inside the groups hehe...

If you called for help how in the world would the POLICE or RESCUE SQUAD find you in all that maze of trailers...



Give me a creekside in the back country of TN or NC anytime... At least you can maybe hear the bad guys coming...

If I ever visited QUARTZITE I would probably have a different opinion haha...

Always been a problem at "Q" along with pick pockets and con artists.

You really need to be careful while visiting the area.

Reminds me of our sons future wife who is from a Major City, visited us on our 3 acre homesite.

She was worried that if something happened, and she screamed the neighbors couldn't hear.

I told her not to worry about it.

If she screamed, the neighbors wouldn't come anyway!

Here come the whiners and complainers. This is nothing new anywhere, including you'alls 'sacred' forrest camping spots.

Don't like it? Don't go.... There's enough there having a good time already

Calm down, guys. Remember that there are people comfortable in crowds, not so much in isolation, as well as folks who prefer their privacy, and not comfortable in crowds. Thank God there are places and times for each. Choose your poison and be happy.

Looking at that picture, I gotta say "not my cup of tea, either." We once sold a house at the end of a dead-end street, purposefully vacant lots on either side and several hundred acres of undeveloped land behind it. Great place to live. The lots were an acre or so in size, so you could see half a dozen houses looking out the front window. The neighbors we did have would give you the shirt off their backs. But they'd also leave you alone unless you told 'em you needed a shirt. Did I mention what a great neighborhood that was?

Showed the house to a young couple. The wife remarked she couldn't possibly live in such isolation for fear of robbers and burglars and other nogoodniks. But we sold the house anyway -- to someone else.

so, from someone who HAS been there and is there now lol I don't camp there. I camp outside of all that hubbub almost without any campers in sight :) :) A short drive, I can see all the gems and minerals I want :) :)
