I teach classes here in OKC and have students from all over the country so set up a page for the family members who hang around town while their wives are in my classes. I set up this page for the families to pick and choose from. It has all the links and most of the central OKC areas.
The first link are hotels near where I teach, but the other links are applicable. The OCAM houses the largest collection of Chilhuly glass and has a fabulous restaurant next door. They also show art films during the weekends. The OKC Zoo is one of the best in the country. It's not only got a great selection of animals but also a great botanical setting for those animals.
Midtown (from about 13th to 4th streets) is a fabulous bustling area with great shops, museums and events.
Guthrie has the largest contiguous area of Victorian Architecture. Norman is home to an extensive art collection housed in a beautiful facility. They also have the Sam Noble Museum of Natural History for the young kids. The Oklahoma Science Museum (a link next to the OKC Zoo on the page above) is one of the great places for kids, so you could combine the Zoo & the Science Museum for a fun kid day.
If you have any questions, ask away, but there's lots to do in the area - have fun.
