Probably the best decision you could make staying on longer. If you would have left earlier you would have been right smack in the middle of all those storms. They WERE really bad. :C

Neighbors that just got back from their first snowbird season said they had a heck of a time in the mid states from all the flooding. Might not be a good time to pick those really nice campgrounds along the rivers, or follow the old river road up.

Yes, and there was quite a lot of snow in Minnesota on May 1 & 2.

NanciL, take care; if you are going through Georgia, the weather has been rough tonight with so many tornado warnings and high winds. We are in South Carolina and are just ending 3:00 a.m. tornado warnings. All you can do is hunker down somewhere until the warnings are over.

We left AZ on the 30th of April. Heat across the desert. Slowly working our way towards Seattle by the 25th of the month.

Two days out from arriving back in the NW.
