Once you join, it may not be easy to quit. Thousand Trails and other (essentially) time share type memberships may only make sense for full time, and I'm not convinced I'd save a dime, given my camping style which is mostly urban docking.

I'm more concerned about quality of experience issues.
I might have to bit the bullet and just decide it might be one of life's lessons, good or bad, that I won't learn until I just jump in and hope for the best.
I think I can get 15 days a year, or more, out of my regional TT campgrounds as long as they aren't so horrible that I would just choose not to go at all. They say the first 30 nights is free with the membership, so even at 15 nights it's still a bargain from my current financial perspective.
