- rv2goExplorer III have met those who just drive up without reservations, but I prefer to make them. After checking in, you just drive around till you find that site you want.
Some sites are 50amp and cost extra.
We mostly stay down in the A, B or C section. Most of these are pull thru. Also close to the pool. - aslaksonExplorerMake a reservation to assure you have a spot. But once you check in, you pick your own site - that's the first-come-first-serve part. We've always stayed in the "H" section right by the family center, mini-golf and restaurant. It's one of our favorite 1000 Trails parks. (and be sure to try the Hog Wild BBQ in Cottonwood).
al - bighatnohorseExplorer IIThere's a ton of BLM land right next to the park. In fact, you have to drive past the turn off to the RV area. You will probably see other RV's parked there (to the left as you approach TT)
Ground is very flat. Never had any problems there either. - Old-BiscuitExplorer III

Yes, they accept reservations but you are not assigned any particular spot. When you get there you must drive around until you find a spot.
That's the first come--first served part. - Smitty77ExplorerOlder thread, but wondering how good the Verizon coverage is here?
TIA, and best to all,
Smitty - Bull_RiderExplorerWe just spent a week there, at the Thousand Trails park. The park was about 80% full, but there was no problem finding a spot.
Most of the sites are "double" sites, where on RV pulls in one way, and the other RV pulls in going the opposite direction. This works out for those that are camping with friends, but we don't care to be that close to other campers. We found a nice back in spot.
The Verizon cell signal was good for phone, the data part was very slow during peak times, 5 PM to 10 PM. At 2 AM it was pretty fast.
I finally locked the phone down to 3G and got better performance. There are just too many users for the tower that services this park during peak demand.
