Agree on those towing are going way too fast. The number one killer, well almost, in trailer tires.
We've been to most of the places you noted including the campground at Castle Rocks, Almo, ID. If it's the one all black topped with hookups, or at least electricity, it must be Smokey Mountain. Nice place. We were there years back by ourselves in early September. Your feedback on Crystal Crane, Mt. Hood, and Cape Blanco is very helpful as those are future trips for us, unplanned as of yet, but on our list.
