Here's my twist on it as boondocker for less than a week at a time:
1. LEDs, solar, 300 AH AGM, two Fantastic Fans, 150 watt inverter, low draw 12 volt laptop, TV etc.
2. Warm sleeping bag and plenty of blankets. Mission: to keep furnace minimized/off during sleep.
3. All cooking with propane-including coffee.
I'd add that French Press coffee is nice, and fits in well with #3
Due to the weather and rain/clouds where I sometimes go up in Montana, I'd add a Honda Eu1000i generator, in case my current 120W 7A hour portable solar panel doesn't make enough beans to top the batteries off on a cloudy day. Pretty sure once my LED's arrive, I'll be at around 30-35Ah a day, 17 of those parasitic in a 24 hour period, refrig and detectors.
The Samsung Google Chromebook I am on is a real power miser. But's it's not a laptop.
