Tourer or Destinationer?
The Yuk to some of the popular destinations thread got me wondering if we're in the minority or majority. Do you drive to a destination and then spend the majority of you time at this one location? Or...

Always a tourister. We have a wonderful destination home location, relatives are all close by or we stop off in Alabama on our way somewhere else.
We bought the motorhome to see the country. We wanted to take extended road trips and not have to deal with hotels and restaurants. We have our two greyhounds and they would make it impossible for an automobile trip. I also hate extended hotel stays and too many restaurant meals. I've found my limit on cruises is seven nights. After that, I'm ready for my bed and my kitchen. I need some control in my life and by controlling my lodging and most of my food I'm usually pretty happy.
Perhaps someday we will want to go and stay somewhere else for a few months, but not now, probably never.
