Trapped?

inlaw in arizona says they hit 102, way to early for this . I did leave AZ in mid feb glad I did.

I can't speak about South Texas but we left Florida for home at the end of March. Financially, it was a good decision because we're home with nothing open and nowhere to go so there's no place to spend any money. On the other hand, it's still chilly here in Western NY and nothing is open and there's nowhere to go to spend any money. I swear, there's only so many forums you can go to every day and only so many goofy youtube videos you can watch. I haven't spent this much time online since we first got internet a long long time ago.

Why don't they leave now? There is nothing stopping them from going home, the borders are not closed

We've stayed in Arizona because my husband had open heart surgery in mid March, just before they shut everything down - I had to rely on nurses for face time with him for a whole week before he was released. We had planned on leaving first of June, but now it doesn't look like there is much open as far as RV parks, and since we don't have a 'house' to go to, we will just ride it out in the Park Model. Besides, with everything Dave has been through, we just don't feel we can take the chance,

In the TX Hill Country since Jan. Not trapped but not in a hurry to leave a small county with very few cases to move to our home in a metropolitan suburb with many cases. We have everything we need here.

We usually stay in AZ until the temps hit 100 degrees. This year is no different. It's now 100+ so we will be heading to WA in a few days. Looking forward to the low price of diesel.

I came to my summer home a month early, and I'm glad I did. It's in an area with fewer cases, and with a local government that is taking things very seriously and has been very successful keeping things sane.

But I'm stressing already about this fall. I have health issues that get very bad if I'm in a cold location. But I don't know if going south for the winter is going to be feasible this year. All I can do is wait and see, I guess.

I stayed put in deep south Texas. Many fewer cases of COVID here than in my NJ summer home. Yes it is hot, but much safer. Glad I decided to stay. There is some talk that COVID does not do well in heat and humidity. If that is the case this (Texas) is the place to be now.

We are still in South Texas but our usual departure date is mid May, We may stay south a few weeks longer this year. Haven't decided yet. We will decide about a week in advance. We are really not fond of mud and tick season in northern MN anyway.

We left Florida mid March about a month earlier than planned. It was the right choice, my wife is high risk.
