Trapped?

Many people ripped out of South Texas in late February or early March, but a few are still here. I wonder who thinks they made the correct call with either choice? The ones still here can't believe how hot it has been already. We have already hit 100 degrees F this past week a couple of times.
  • Always a good thing to hear that people are doing what "they" want to do. I was hoping they would open up Texas State Parks today which would give us more options. Dentist in Illinois late May. Wait and see on that.

I stayed put in deep south Texas. Many fewer cases of COVID here than in my NJ summer home. Yes it is hot, but much safer. Glad I decided to stay. There is some talk that COVID does not do well in heat and humidity. If that is the case this (Texas) is the place to be now.

My goodness, I am so glad you are not in New Jersey! But you must have people back there you are worried sick about.

Texas has much more time to prepare. I hope they are doing so wisely.
  • Still in TX and we made the right decision. We are full-time and the campground we have a seasonal site in is not open in MI. Current expected date is May 18. We will wait to see what happens when the current order expires on May 15th, if they can indeed open on May 18, we'll then leave and head that way. In a small town, feel safe here and will be in a small town in MI too.
  • I left Arizona March 31 in a rush. Wife flew north sooner with health emergency. Otherwise, we'd be enroute.
