If a claim is made, they first go after Your Provincial Medical Plan for reimbursement ,then if that doesn't cover their negotiated costs from the Medical Service Provider ,They pay out from their barrel of Money!
Exactly. Out of province medical insurance is SECONDARY coverage. That's why you have to maintain residency and therefore provincial health insurance. If you stay out of province too long (as many people do), provincial insurance will not pay and purchased travel insurance is worth exactly NOTHING.
