Traveling from Acadia NP to Bangor to White Mnts

Currently in Maine down around Portland. Heading to Acadia in a few days. We'll see the sights there and then leave. I've got a good 2 weeks to KILL before I need to be back in Syracuse, NY. Ok ...

If you’re going to Acadia do yourself a favor and go a little further north and see the Schoodic Peninsula. Much like Acadia, but in a more natural state. Good RV park run by NPS. If you’re feeling adventurous,go further north to Lubec.... real downeast Maine. A short trip further brings you to Campobello Island, FDR’s summer retreat (requires a passport). Beautiful setting and a quick island to tour. Very photogenic and historic. Enjoy.
