ACZL -- Was just going to mention that! We've had the Ticonderoga set on our radar for a few years but have not had the chance to go. Either one would be fun for my family....all fans of the TOS.
BTW, William Shatner has actually been to the Ticonderoga NY set and done photo ops...twice I think
I've been meaning to visit Star Trek: Original Series Set Tour. - 1492ModeratorThere was actually a plan at one time to build a full scale version of SS Enterprise in downtown Las Vegas, in place of the present Fremont Street Experience.
I would think this would have been a mind boggling experience to see as the Enterprise would have been as tall as the surrounding hotels and as long as the Eiffel tower in France.
Unfortunately, Paramount Pictures chief at the time ultimately killed the idea.
In its place ultimately became The Next Generation (TNG): Star Trek The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton, which lasted for 10-years. There's an interesting documentary on it on YouTube at The Final Frontier Of Star Trek: The Experience - Las Vegas
The one remaining item I kept from Star Trek The Experience below, now gathering dust on my shelf. It was a complimentary promotion during the early days of the attraction. - magnusfideExplorer III can see ST-themed weddings happening.
Even ST-themed divorces (Red Alert, phasers on full).
Q-burgers
Data-phones
Kirk-fu and Worf-fu mock battles.
Mind-meld competitions.
Klingon beauty contests.
Best imitation of Kirk screaming "Kaaaaaaaaaahnnnnnnnn!"
The ideas for fun kitsch are endless. LOL.:B1492 wrote:

Maybe Jeff Bezos will build one? :B - 1492ModeratorIt would still need approval from Paramount to grant the licensing. And, apparently, the failure to secure an agreement was what killed the project. The funding was not the main issue, though would likely cost $400+ million today.
Too bad Paramount wasn't for sale instead of MGM. - magnusfideExplorer II

You got that right. Maybe Elon Musk or Bezos will do it. Or it could be a new Trump hotel theme?
Pitchmen? Anyone? LOL - magnusfideExplorer IIThere's an office building in China built to look like the USS Enterprise.
Along with other Trek inspired interiors. - mleekampExplorerThe Vulcan, AB meusum is now closed and they auctioned all the stuff in 2019, I think.
We did the Star Trek experience in Vegas (wife and I only...did not have kids then) in 2001. Made me "sea sick"...we just got off the plane, checked in the Sahara, and went right to the ST experience...the motion part if did not sit well after the flight. I guess i'm more of a land lubber! - dedmistonModeratorWe try to catch the sunrise Easter service at Vasquez Rocks whenever we can. It's the location where so many things have been filmed, most notably were the many TOS episodes. There are tons of Hollywood trades workers who live in that area along with some great amateur talent, so they put on an incredible passion play with the resurrection climax synched with the sunrise. It's very dramatic, but my wife always cuts the tension with the same corny joke when she whispers to me and asks whether I think they'll substitute The Gorn for Christ this year.
And as for Vegas, we really loved the Star Trek Experience. Things in Vegas can be so cheezy, but I think they did a great job.
