Thanks for all the input. I will be really surprised if I'm talked out of going NW. But, wives have a way, so I won't rule out the possibility. :)
We've been to DC as a family. Very much enjoyed it. Been to Disney (twice), but not in Camp Wilderness. We might do that again as a family, but not for at least 5-6 years. Those were some of the best trips of our lives, but I'm overcooked on it.
Flying somewhere is an option. If we flew, that would be an opportunity to do the extreme left coast. Maybe in a rental motorhome? Or heck, even a rental van with a tent.
The idea of flip flopping since we just went west has some logic to it, but heck...I just don't like congestion.
Ideas to toss around anyhow.
On a side note, we took about 50 hours of video to go along with the 20,000 +/- photos. I had used Windows Movie Maker before, as well as Pinnacle, and it was always a real pain, more fighting hardware than fun. I knew I didn't want to wrestle with that again, so when we got home from the trip I went out and got a 27" iMac. I've got a few hundred hours of editing time put in, and the trip is distilled into 7.5 hours of final footage. The Mac has been an absolute DREAM to edit with! It has done all that work and not once has it even thought about crashing. Highly recommended for any of you that put media shows together.
I sure wish I could post the videos, as they are really, really good! Not the typical home movie stuff. Has more of a feature film feel. However, youtube flags me because of copy-written music. I may some day have low res versions on my google drive.
Coming soon, Ouray, Ridgway, Telluride and Lake City Colorado!
