Flying and renting an RV has a bit of appeal. Maybe just rent a car and stay in cabins? Pick up a cooler and groceries at a local store. Wouldn't it be awesome to see the Sequoias?!?!
Unfortunately, I still can't figure out how to spend less than 3k for a rental car and plane tickets for a family of 5. Sheesh! Let me know if you figure it out.
