More advice. We took the northwestern loop trip you're considering. You've already got the best places to stop obviously chosen. I'd add Mt. St. Helens to the list. Just check the weather and make sure the mountain won't be obscured by clouds when you go. My grandson always wants to go to Yellowstone EVERY year because there's so much to do even after we've been there half a dozen times so far !! I'm trying to plan our trip(s) for next summer and it's always a fun way to spend winter.
