Rocky Mountain National Park: Final Chapter
We fit in one last hike before rolling out the next morning. We walked the trail from the campground to Sprague Lake and caught a Ranger hike around the lake. It was very informative of the history of the park and the lake.

The group was less than 20 people, and our boys were the only children. They got lots of one on one attention from the Ranger.

When we stopped at this spot (below), the Ranger talked for a bit and we watched an osprey hunting for fish. He caught a 6-10" trout right in front of us. It was a moment that was a good summary for a magical trip to the park.

I remember being about their age and taking my first real notice to the ladies. Our Ranger was a cutie, and I think one of the boys made a lifelong memory.

We finished this hike about 10am, the trailer was already hooked up, and we hit the road. Again, very surprised at what this park did for us. Of all the parks, we felt like we "lived" at this one. We visited most parks, seeing the sites, but we really felt this park. We will definitely be back one day!
Next Up: Heading back east....Dodge City.
