This is so sad to hear. Yes, priorities have certainly changed and not always for the best. Fifty years later we continue to look at 'old' family albums.
Many folks nowadays click endless snapshots with their cells and I would imagine that shortly thereafter they will never look at them again. To us, it is so funny to watch them and their selfies. They'll take pictures of anything just to be using that **??## smart?? phone.
Do they ever edit them, delete the majority of them, categorize them, put them into a slide show format to refer to later? I think not. Within months they'll be deleted. Our kids and grandkids are the same. . . an instant photo . . possibly look at them the next day . . and move on.
You received some comments in jest about the 'showing'. I never thought it would turn out the way it had. They didn't even attempt to be interested in one minute of it! I feel so sorry for you and your family having to witness this.
You can be sure that many of your fellow travelers were VERY much interested - like minds, I suppose. You did a wonderful job with the trip and the memories. I'm sure you have instilled your goodness in your own children.
Don't forget all of us on your next trip!
