One more thing you could do... burn the movie to DVD(s?) and mail it to the folks. Just on the off chance that they will get bored enough one day to pop it into the player and watch a bit, and maybe find out that it's better than they expected. You may not get the rewarding feeling of having them oooh and aaah in your presence, but perhaps a few months from now, at a time when they're missing the grandkids, they'll think to watch some of your movie.
11.5 mpg is decent. I averaged 12.3 mpg towing a slightly smaller 16' TT on a 4000 mile trip with my Highlander. But during the last year or so it's gone down closer to 11 mpg. Kind of makes me wonder whether the stealership truly changed the spark plugs like they said they did...
