I've stayed at Red Gate twice now. Its a fine little park. Its essentially an open field with hookups, very close to the city. The grounds are beautiful, there is a nice lake, some fields with animals and some nice landscaping around the outside of the park. We stayed in "overflow" this last time and it was very nice, off to the side of the main campground and backed up to a nice pavilion that the kids enjoyed playing in.
We were very happy with this park and plan to stay there again. Skidaway is a little further down the road, and they won't let you drive through the park to see the campground without paying the entry fee. No thanks, Red Gate is perfectly fine for us.
